NY Pan Results
Sapo, Gunnar, Gustavo close out the absolute. Check out who else placed in the tournament Rafael “Sapo” (at right) beat Jason Hayes by points (5-0) in the absolute blackbelt semifinal.
Gunnar Nelson may have come from Iceland and Rafael “Sapo” (“Frog”) from Minas Gerais, Brazil. However they said there was no way they would forget they live and train together in Renzo Gracie academy daily basis and face each other for public eyes, even with an important title as the NY No Gi Pan absolute championship of the adult black belt was in the line.
Thus, after each one victory over his opponents, they closed out the bracket along with another teammate, Luis Gustavo (Renzo Gracie Newark), yesterday (Sat, Oct 3) at the City College, famous institution located at the upper west side of Manhattan.
Renzo Gracie Academy equaled last year result, taking first in the adult division. Soca BJJ took an amazing second whilst Lloyd Irvin got third.
